For those booking & testing in the UK

UKVI has developed a digital immigration system and is replacing physical documents with an online record of an individual’s immigration status. This is known as an eVisa. eVisas are now accepted as a valid proof of identity for booking SELT tests in the United Kingdom.

You can now register for your SELT exam using an eVisa taking the following steps:
1. Create a UKVI account
2. Register for an eVisa view and prove
3. Choose the view and prove option “To prove my immigration status or anything else”
4. Generate a share code through eVisa view and prove (valid for 90 days)
5. Register and book your SELT exam with LANGUAGECERT
6. During the booking process, add your personal details (matching your eVisa records) and add your UKVI share code to our “ID number” field during the registration step
7. Your eVisa record will be accessible to our Test Centre administrator on the day of your test to check your identity
8. With an eVisa there is no need to bring any other form of physical ID to the test centre providing you register your personal details and eVisa share code correctly

When using an eVisa, you must ensure your SELT test is booked at least 48 hours in advance of your intended test date.
